Background

In today's fast-paced world, users demand convenient and accessible services. FOTOHOKKIE, a self-service photo studio, identified the growing need for a digital solution to simplify the photobox booking process. With the rise of mobile device usage and the increasing reliance on digital services, FOTOHOKKIE aims to offer a seamless, mobile-first experience for booking photobox sessions. To stay competitive and meet evolving consumer preferences, the company is developing a mobile app designed to enhance customer engagement and provide easy access to photobox services.

Solution

The development of FOTOHOKKIE's mobile app follows the Design Thinking methodology, ensuring a user-centered approach to problem-solving.

• Empathize: User and stakeholder interviews were conducted to understand their challenges, preferences, and expectations, focusing on improving the photobox booking experience.
• Define: Insights from the empathize phase led to a clear problem statement, identifying user needs such as ease of booking, secure payment options, and quick access to booking history.
• Ideate: A series of brainstorming sessions generated ideas like integrating user-friendly booking flows, incorporating payment options, and allowing users to interact with admins directly for support.
• Prototype: Prototypes were created, including low and high-fidelity designs, to visualize the app's interface and gather user feedback.
• Test: The app was tested with real users to evaluate task success rates, ease of navigation, and overall satisfaction. The testing phase revealed insights that were used to refine the app further, enhancing features like the cancellation confirmation and payment verification.

This iterative process aims to improve user experience continuously, making FOTOHOKKIE a leader in Indonesia’s photobox booking industry.
